Our Multi-Dimensional Scanning system detects existing threats as well as threats of the future by analyzing threat characteristics in addition to code patterns. SUPERAntiSpyware is a next generation scanning system that goes beyond the typical rules based scanning methods.

SUPERAntiSpyware Professional Edition offers Advanced Detection and Removal features: Items found can be removed completely or quarantines safely. It can, for example, re-enable the task manager utility and registry editor. It's unique repair system can fix problems that arise from malware infection and persist afterwards. It has a built in real-time blocking feature that can detect threats and block them before they can cause any harm. It also will probe the system memory and Windows registry for threats. SUPERAntiSpyware Professional Edition offers quick, complete and custom scanning options for all types of media, including hard drives, removable storage drives and so on. It's for those reasons that I recommend SAS when I do.SUPERAntiSpyware Professional Edition is a comprehensive anti-malware tool for detecting and removing Spyware, Adware, Trojans, Dialers, Worms, KeyLoggers, HiJackers and many other types of threats. AVG Anti-Spyware also has some utilities as I recall, but they are only for disabling certain functions.restoring nothing. It's those times that I recommend using that tool as it also comes with a utility that will restore certain functions.task manager among them. At other times, the problems complained of by a user when investigated will reveal that SAS has the best plan of attack. I must admit however, the SAS application failed to remove it and I DID end up having to remove it manually in that particular instance. SAS claimed to have the definition files updated to include the fix for that malware while nothing else did. Failing that, we all have to investigate the dynamics involved in order to completely remove the infection manually.Īs I recall, the last time I used it was to assault the YaY virus.new at the time and no known automated removal tool.

On the few occasions that I had instructed a user to download and install SAS, it was because of the infection they had.as you both are aware, when new infections are discovered, the first thing to recommend is a trusted removal tool.
#SUPERANTISPYWARE MANUAL UPDATES SOFTWARE#
I sense it's not an issue with the software at all, but perhaps had to do with their server passing out the updates in a controlled manner to alleviate any flooding of their servers but I couldn't get a confession out of anyone there. If anyone else had the same kind of issue and knows where they downloaded their original copy, please post the information so we can help clear this up. Once uninstalled, I was able to install the latest version.

Even then, I got a message that I had to uninstall the version I had, so I just let the application do that for me. In order for me to get the latest version of the software I had to download it directly from the sight (the link that Dave posted above) because the copy of the application that I had would not find the software update. I wish I could remember where I downloaded the copy I had originally but I don't.
#SUPERANTISPYWARE MANUAL UPDATES UPDATE#
Immediately after reading this thread's info regarding the latest version, I ran a manual update of the software then checked to make sure I now had the version 3.6 but still had version 3.5 in spite of the updates just downloaded. It would find updates to the signature file but not updates to the software itself (very odd indeed I must admit). The version of the software that I had was not finding the updated software. Just thought I'd update this thread.I had been in contact with Nick Skrepetos (the software developer), and it seems I made a mistake in assuming that the application does not find this update from within the software updater.
